About Glenn Ringtved
Glenn Ringtved is a danish writer of litterature for children and young adults. He was born in 1968 and lives in Hjørring in the north of Denmark. His first apperance was in 1995 with “Benny the Beef-bird and other stories from Cirkus Bambino.” Since then he has written more than 30 books. Many of them has been translated into other languages. Among his biggest successes are the picturebooks “Cry Heart,” (Græd blot hjerte), which he wrote upon his mothers death, “Kiss Me, I Hate You” (Kys mig, jeg hader dig) and “When Daddy Was a Boy” (Da far var knægt). His biggest commercial succes is the bestselling football-series “Dreamteam,” about a boy moving to Spain with his family. This series is sold to Sweden and Norway along with the movie rights. Other popular books are “Billy the Kid”, “To Hell With the Ships Stern” (Rend mig i agterstavnen), “Too Late!” (For sent!) and “Lovedrug”. Glenn Ringtved has written the two “Duck in Danger” Donald Duck-books illustrated by Spanish illustrator Fernando Güell.
